Artist Statement of Jack Biesek

I use art to explore my deepest feelings. I immerse myself in numerous projects simultaneously and the busier I am, the more I enjoy it. If I am not sculpting, I am drawing, if I am not drawing I am studying art, architecture and craft I have hundreds of projects in mind waiting to come out I have been creating and designing since I was 20 years old and I continue to maintain a "beginner mind" because it is far more motivating than being "the expert". The universe has blessed me with this condition and I graciously accept it I give credit to the muses who speak through me. I am only the hands, mind and spirit that is moved to explore the depth of my soul for shapes and figures that are simple, abstract and poetic. I dislike putting labels on my work, my skills, or results. I`ll leave that to others.

Customer comment on 'Brasil - Chess (Corporate Commission of an entire edition)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Although it seemed a daunting project to commission a sculpture on the internet with a tight deadline, Plamen Dimitrov in Bulgaria made it as easy as possible for me in Brazil by producing a series of little clay sketches after each email and sending photos it seemed by return. He worked round the clock and was incredibly intuitive with his understanding of what I wanted. This was despite an 8 hour time difference and having poor English as our common language. He w...
